Our client purchased this substandard lot in the Smith Hill neighborhood of Providence and sought to build a modern home for their small family. The lot size is just over 1,800 sf, and was an irregular shape, presenting challenges for meeting setback and zoning requirements while achieving the our client’s goals.
The solution was a modern, urban-style home. Building on a preliminary design provided by the client, this new construction has three bedrooms and two and half bathrooms. On the first floor, large windows above street level offer security while flooding the living areas with light. The third-floor balcony offers
